Amazing Costume Room Cleanup . . .

Portal Players sends extreme thanks for the extreme clean up that was done in our costume room earlier in February. Melissa Lowe, Yvette Deveau and Bobby Busby are responsible for cleaning up the room, which had been left in, shall we say "disarray", after a variety of productions.

Unfortunately, no "before" pictures exist, but here are a few "after" shots, attesting to the hard work of these volunteers. The cleanup allowed Portal Players to engage in a lucrative rental of multiple costumes to a local school.

Members who are interested in maintaining the costume room on an on-going basis are encouraged to call theatre manager Elliot Drew at 250-723-1195.

Thanks to the cleanup crew! .

Hard Work Begins for May Production

Chris Doman and Derek Burke review design options.
Creative juices are flowing and exciting ideas abound for the upcoming production of "The Importance of Being Earnest", co-directed by Deb and Derek Burke.  "Earnest" will run for 3 weeks in May and will also be the featured Portal Players' submission to the Theatre BC, North Island Zone Drama Festival in late May, which this year will be held at our very own Capitol Theatre.

Casting for "Earnest" is complete and the set's design has taken shape.  Set construction is starting mid-February at the new Portal Players Workshop Space (formerly Discovery College) on Tebo.  Painting the set will take place during the month of March.  If you are interested in either set construction or set painting, please call Chris Doman at 250-736-1010.
